Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ) about the MMA QuickStart Program

1. What equipment do I need for this program?

You won't need much and everything you need is very easy to find. Here's a list of the REQUIRED equipment for this program:

  • A jump rope

  • An open space to train in (preferable carpeted or a surface that is not too hard). A matted surface is ideal.

  • A stopwatch or a regular watch with a second hand

  • A Pillow or Cushion

 

2. How many days will I be required to do MMA QuickStart? How long do the workouts take?

To follow this program, you only need to dedicate 2 - 3 days a week to your mixed martial arts training.

Each workout lasts for roughly for an hour.

The program is designed to allow you to train more or less than that if you choose to.

Everything is laid out for you so you don't have to think, just follow the program as outlined and you'll be amazed at the stuff you'll learn in just 12 weeks.

 

3. Will I need to rely on a partner showing up to practice the program?

Absolutely not! This program is created so that you can train whenever, and pretty much wherever you like. Every technique, exercise, drill and movement taught in the program can be practiced solo.

Future MMA QuickStart program add-ons will be designed specifically for partner training.

 

4.  Is there a high risk of injury from training in MMA?.

I must admit that with what most people see of MMA, most commonly the UFC and other televised MMA events, it is obvious that competition at a professional level is intense, rough and obviously as dangerous as any other full contact sport. Fortunately training in the sport is much safer and way more user friendly.

Also ,training solo --as you do in the MMA QuickStart program-- by working on striking technique, ground movements and other related skills is much safer than working against a resisting opponent or training partner during sparring or rolling (ground sparring) training.

The MMA QuickStart program is as safe as any other regular exercise program. However, remember that before starting ANY exercise training program it's very important to check with your doctor first.

 

5. When is it too old to begin training in mixed martial arts?

I love MMA Training because it really works the entire body, building flexibility in addition to improving endurance, strength, co-ordination and many other attributes.

Through the use of a good warm-up, a proper cool down and a comfortable level of training intensity throughout every training session, people of all ages can benefit from training in mixed martial arts.

The key is to allow yourself time to build yourself up, to always avoid overtraining and to remain fully aware of how your body is feeling at all times. Working at your own pace is very important during any form of exercise..

I truly believe that martial arts training takes years off of your age, and I smile every time I get asked for identification –at age 35-- when I go out with friends. No matter what your age, you can reap the many benefits of training in mixed martial arts.

Once again though, check with your doctor before beginning any new exercise program such as MMA QuickStart.

 

6. What makes this program specific for a Beginner?
